Where is the Tour?
The Tour takes place on the south side of Chesapeake City along the banks of the C&D Canal. The C & D Canal is the the third busiest canal in the world. We are about 1 hour from Baltimore and Philadelphia off of Rt. 213.
When is the Tour?
Saturday, December 13, 2008 . The tour is always the second Saturday in December. There is not a raindate.
What is the Tour?
The Chesapeake City Holiday Tour is a self-guided walking tour of private homes and public buildings, many dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, decorated for the holidays. There are also carriage rides available and caroling throughout the town.
Tour Hours and Prices
The Tour runs from 6:00- 9:00pm.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. There are approximately 22 homes, inns and churches on the tour.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Mary at The Inn at The Canal B&B at 410.885.5995.
Tickets the day of the event can be purchased from 4pm-8:30pm at the Town Hall on the corner of Bohemia Ave. & 2nd Street.
Carriage Rides
There are carriage rides throughout the night. Times are limited and the rides do sell out. Rides leave every 15 minutes from the the front of the Town Hall on Bohemia Ave.
$5 per person.
Parking
Parking is permitted on the town's streets except for the resident only marked ones. The best place to park and walk into town is in the municple lot under the bridge.
